WHAT TO EXPECT
To get started with your customized acne program, you will first meet with one of our acne experts. She will assess your skin, test for sensitivity and recommend a treatment plan based on your unique needs. Although your at-home acne products will be strong enough to heal your skin, they should never be uncomfortable to apply. We slowly build up the strength in your skin care regimen by allowing your skin to adapt gradually.
During your consultation, we will review your diet and lifestyle habits, and make recommendations to help further your success in the program. It is essential that you come into your consultation with an open mind and committment to making the necessary changes and being compliant with your at-home regimen. Of course, we will be right there with you along the way, available for any questions or concerns should they arise.
After you receive your consultation and start on your skin care, we will set you up with in-office treatments every 2 weeks. Most patients who are compliant with the program will achieve clear skin after 3-4 months, and at that time, in-office treatments can be spaced further apart as needed.
Once your skin has cleared, you will need to stay on your skin care regimen as directed by your acne expert to prevent your acne from recurring.
